Description: | Since 1818, Halifax audiences have thrilled to the joyful beauty of the festive Christmas message: ‘For unto us a child is born’, and the sheer power and majesty of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. This year’s is the 206th annual consecutive performance of Messiah by Halifax Choral Society. Performed by candlelight in the beautiful setting of Halifax Minster, the concert will be conducted by Anthony Gray with soloists Emily Costigan (soprano) Nathan Mercieca (alto) James Micklethwaite (Tenor) and Charlie Murray (Bass) We are delighted to be accompanied once again by Darius Battiwalla, harpsichord, Alan Horsey, organist and the Yorkshire Festival Orchestra Tickets (£21) are available now. Children (18 and under) accompanied by an adult will be admitted free on the door only. |
