Singing for the first time in the stunning setting of St Paul’s Church, King Cross, Halifax Choral Society proudly presents Verdi’s powerful and emotionally charged Requiem. We will be joined by acclaimed organist Darius Battiwalla, four outstanding soloists, two grand pianos, and a range of percussion.

The evening will open with a selection of works performed by our soloists and pianists, designed to showcase the church’s magnificent acoustics.

This promises to be a spine-tingling, unforgettable night of music.

Sing Messiah with Us!

Inspired by our starring performance in Gareth Malone’s Messiah, we are creating new opportunities for singers across the full spectrum of experience to explore this iconic work. These sessions are designed both to help our members deepen their knowledge and enjoyment, and to encourage those who may never have experienced Messiah before to come along and give it a try.
Our six-week “Learn to Sing Messiah course will run on Monday evenings, just before our regular rehearsals, The course will culminate in a full day Come and Sing Messiah on Saturday 6th December – open to everyone, but free for course participants and HCS members.
